ABOUT
Lisa Femrite always knew interior design would be her life’s work. As a child she sketched her own ideas of residential floor plans from the homes her parents remodeled. As a young adult Lisa was the go-to for friends needing advice on color, layout, fabrics and design. In the 1990’s while traveling to Europe to assist clients of an international antique buying company Lisa developed an appreciation for eclectic patinas and unique styles.
In 2002, Lisa moved to Chicago where she worked for a high-profile architect where she gained a deeper understanding of what creates beauty in our spaces. As the assistant to the principal architect, she discovered the possibilities created by aesthetic design and the creative process that transforms functional structures into inspiring places to live and work.
Returning to Charlotte, North Carolina, Lisa earned an Associates of Science in Interior Design. Today, after several years of working for a respected General Contractor designing remodels, renovations and new construction, Lisa started her own Charlotte-based firm.
Lisa enjoys her free time traveling, antique shopping, playing with her 4 grandchildren and sweet dog Wrigley.
We are delighted to share our experience in working with Lisa Femrite. As a designer, Lisa listens to clients with respect to ideas, preferences and lifestyle. Lisa proved to be a strong communicator; she has a strong sense of follow through and is extremely detail oriented. She is very efficient with her time, as well as her client’s.
As a project manager, Lisa has a dept of experience with builders and suppliers – giving her an ability to read plans, itemize spreadsheets, going line by line on specifics to a proposal. This enables her to review and compare bids, manage and monitor projects, making sure projects stay on schedule, and provide invaluable information for her clients.
We would highly recommend Lisa Femrite as a designer.
